Yesterday I read George R. R. Martin's "The Skin Trade" and it was truely amazing! I couldn't stop reading because it was at night and I knew I would be unable to sleep as long as I don't know how it's going to end. Sadly it took 'only' about 3 hours to finish the book. 147 pages of tension/excitement with some nice illustrations - though I think these illustration are one reason for which the book was quite expensive and my fantasy is good enough to 'draw' its own illus. But the plot and the style of writing were worth any spent euro. It's a pity the book was translated in my native language only last year (2014) while it was written in 1989. But hey: Better late than never .
If you like thrilling stories with werewolves, police and tough private detektives served with blood, death and some very dangerous characters/creatures you should definitly read this story. It's the best werewolf-story I've read so far. Some pages after I thought I finally knew what was going on I was disabused and most of the time my pulse was beyond good and evil.
The book isn't available in e-pub/kindle calibre and you can only buy it with hard cover. These statements pertain to my homeland - maybe you're more lucky.
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. story from the very first to the last page. Great ending - maybe you have to read the last page two times till you get it (like me^^).
I really would like to draw some scenes from the book because the whole plot was like a movie inside my head .
